Hi, I’m Lize – an optometrist with a heartfelt passion for helping people see life more clearly. I’ve always believed that good vision can change lives, and it’s a privilege to be part of that journey for so many individuals and families.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Optometry from the RAU (University of Johannesburg) in 2004. I lived in Windhoek, Namibia, for the first decade of my professional journey. I’ve worked extensively with patients with unique visual needs – from scleral and rigid gas permeable lenses to orthokeratology, myopia control, binocular vision and dry eye management.

As a co-owner and practising optometrist at Le Winck Optika, I’m proud to be part of a practice that values genuine care and connection. We’re a close-knit team that treats every patient like family, and I’m constantly inspired by the difference we make together. Staying up to date with the latest clinical innovations is a priority for me, so I can continue offering the best possible care to my patients.
